Foxy and WhiteFoxy

The clock is ticking. In less than a week, my community of Round Lake,Wisconsin which resides in the county of Polk, will once again have it's share of "portable" self-contained, aboriginal junkies. These Junkies, are on the prowl and search for "new blood." These Junkies are vampires and they claim to be Spiritual beings. In all retrospect, they are false prophets. The leader of their school is named Foxy. This being is the worst to man kind. Not only is foxy a half breed, but foxy is neither sly or slick. He will go to the extreme when he does not get his way. Take me for example, him and his white twin (though, they are really not twins) tried to put their modern day post elite school mentality and mannerisms on me. SHIT. It didn't work on me, matter of factly, it just motivated me. However, because I am an advocate for principals that are forgotten and misrepresented and I can see what Foxy and his twin are up to, I had to be sacrificed and so called "ridiculed." Funny thing about Foxy and his white attitude and brother, is that, they miss the genuineness and purity of what I possess and personify. Foxy and White Foxy represent the educated, feeble and complacent individuals. Foxy and White foxy have gone to post elite schools. Some of the ideas and principals they have brought en back from these institutes is 1) Complacency- They will fight and Mame their own kind( but they are half breeds half white-half Aboriginal) but, when it comes to Aboriginal struggles and activism, you will not see Foxy or White Foxy stand up against the Government,Corporations or anything that is Euro-centric related, because they would be "dishonoring" the main piece of their being. Plus, if they really used their tools that they were given, they would "fear" losing their jobs. Now tell me, who are the cowards and backstabbers??? 2) Ideal beliefs and attitudes- In post secondary institutes, there is no room for mishaps, problems or mistakes. When these attitudes are adopted and personified, you have a pumped up Foxy and White Foxy. So, than the common people are looked upon as all "mishaps, degenerates, feeble and scum." It is a good thing we have Fox and White Foxy to save us from the Government and it's ever reaching tentacles. Shit, Foxy and White Fox are one of the Tentacle's of the government-designed to manipulate overtly and covertly the people they are destined to "conquer." Hmmmm. I think they think, we are related to the Iraq people and we need to be liberated by them, because they bring elitism and it's principals to our communities. But, would Foxy and White Foxy ever think of sacrificing their reputations and selves to even oppose the war? HELL NO! They are wimps and buffoons. Plus they already get to "feast" on the commoners.

They want people to approve what they are doing. Even if that means they have to build lies, deception and deceit(sound familiar). Hell, these two guys are stand up people and could do no wrong, because people worship them. Unlike them, i do not believe in Jesus and his philosophies. I do not carry an ounce of his teachings in my soul or in my everyday life. However, Foxy and white foxy covertly hang on to Jesus. They do not think I know, but I can see Jesus in them.

Foxy and White Foxy claim to know the "people." They think by knowing the people, they have to Spiritually guide and befriend the common people.

Be wary my brother. The people you speak of I'm sure are what you say. And they come from what most of the native societies have fallen into. The "hang around the fort" indians as they were come to be known back in the old days. These people have forgotten how to prepare the people for the next 7 generations to yet come. Pity them. Secure yourself in the old ways and be wary of your own path that you don't trip or get sidetracked by anger and mistrust. You know some of the people I have walked with. You are among them. Choka asked me once, (on a Sunday) "shouldn't you be with the "t" people?" I asked him, "what are the "t" people? He said, "they are the people who go to the building with the small case "t" on top!" Big laughs all around the table! LOL Their building is directly behind his house. They didn't bother him as they knew his faith was/is strong and it was pointless and a waiste of their time. So they would prey on the weaker individuals who were/are drunks, drug addicts or had simply gotten sidetracked from their red path. Keep the tobacco growing and your personal spirit strong. You and I are "idealists in the red way." DOn't waist too much time on anger with confused individuals. Keep the faith, stay on the path and know that the ancestors watch and listen and smile when we do the right things.

Maybe if Jay Saros spent as much time and energy helping people as he did bashing them behind their backs he, his community, and the People would would be happier, healthier and united.

Yeah, sounds like a fit of jealous rage to me. Like maybe he has an insecurity complex about people with an education. And he wants their position at ceremony or something. Does he even know that school is a good place to learn our language? He probably doesn't even know enough about the language to value it or work for it, he's just another crab in the bucket, trying to drag others down with him...

I've been at ceremonies in Round Lake for the past few years and I've rarely seen Jay there, and if he is, he hasn't cut wood, helped build lodge or do anything but bring dark clouds and bad vibes. He even stole a car battery from one the elders there. And he dares preach about respecting elders on his blog. I think this guy is full of shit.

Jay Saros is a hypocrate:

He bashes education, but he has worked his entire adult life in education. A complacent, two-faced pawn to powers he despises...

He bashes half breeds. But he is a half breed. His father is Mexican.

He bashes outsiders coming to Round Lake, Wisconsin, his self proclaimed home community. But Jay has no blood from that rez, not one ounce. His father is Mexican. His mother is from White Earth. His only connection to Round Lake is his adopted father who wants to disown him because he's so awful to everyone there.

He touts the importance of learning ceremony. But he tried to ask his adopted father to support him to be ceremonial chief. When asked what he would say since Jay doesn't speak Ojibwe, Jay replied in all seriousness that he would MUMBLE. His dad laughed at him.

Jay rants about respect. But he stole the car battery of one of the elders in Round Lake. Where is the respect he preaches?

He bashes the people running ceremonies at Round Lake. But he always goes to them and puts tobacco in their hands for help. If "Foxy" is so evil, why is Jay asking Foxy to put him through the lodge again?

Hypocracy.

I have read your comments ladies and gentlemen. I have known Jay since he was a teenager. I know his adopted father AND have met his real mother. I knew his Grandfather. I knew his grandfather's friend from Black River. Both were strong traditional men. His friend used to come up to Hertle and the other places from Black River to help the people learn and remember their own culture! It took Jay's Grandfather to bring back the shinaabi culture to the people of Round Lake, Maple plains and Hertle. Jay became traditional through his Grandfather. He speaks the language FLUENTLY! I KNOW YOU can't say the same! Jay works with the kids who want to be traditional, Ojibwa speaking and thinking adults.

What have YOU done at all? Besides your own "bashing?" And signing "anonymous!" Face Jay if you think your strong enough. And talk to him face to face, instead of off to the side so he can't tell who you are. Try communicating with him. Just in case, you can see my name at the bottom of my comments. HE knows who I am. YOU don't NEED to! But have no fear, the next time I make an extended trip to Wisconsin and Minnesota, I'll be with Jay!

If you have relations at Round Lake or Maple Plains I have probably cared for them at one time or another.

In my OWN opinion, he doesn't go to Round Lake very often because he is discouraged because there is no traditional governing. The drum is not played correctly because it is missing the spirit. (not to mention most of the correct words!) I know that for a fact! And just so you know how LITTLE you Do know, he is much more than HALF in blood and most certainly FULL in spirit. He is a traditional man stuck and forced to get "educated" because of the conquering nation we live in. I have gone gathering medicine with Jay. What have you done?

I have seen people talk of being traditional, then they light up a cigarette at ceremonies. HA! Some "traditional" tobacco there huh? I have seen men kill 18 deer and brag on the reserves. White men did that and damn near exterminated the Buffalo. Nice to kill like a white man huh? And spreading lies about stealing batteries because of your OWN jealousies and inadequecies.

I have worked with the Round Lake and Black River falls Cultural & Language Preservation groups. And I know how many can speak the languages fluently and know the ceremonies so little. I have been at funerals where Jay sat in AND weddings. Does this really sound like someone who can't speak? Only fools and wannabes would speak such nonsense.

So go out to the Casinoes, have a few beers, smoke some weed and cigarettes and tell us how un-indian Jay is and how traditional you are.

You people don't know "jack" about Jay! And I suspect you might need to look into yourselves at some point. In the mean time, you folks have my pity.

I have known Jay since he was a small child and first came to St. Croix. He has changed a lot over the years, from an interested student of the culture to an angry, resentful opponent of those trying to keep it alive. He has much to learn about respect. I know for a fact that he did indeed steal the car battery of Skip Sandman, a medicine man who does Indian doctoring at the Neyaashing Clinic in Mille Lacs. I was in camp when he approached Skip and fessed up and offered him a snake hide to "make it right" but not the return of the man's battery. It is true. I also know that refused to sing a song to St. Croix full blood elder Laverne Buck who was suffering from bone cancer simply because he was angry at "Foxy". These are facts and they can't be changed. Defend him all you want, Jay Saros is a thief and a negative force at ceremony much of the time in recent years.

I don't deny that Jay is angry. And I'm sure he has done some things he is not proud of. Who hasn't? Me? You?

When was the last time you walked across unfrozen water? Do you raise tobacco or buy it? What is in your guarded past?

You say that Jay "fessed up." Who was the last person that we ALL wronged and did we have the courage to admit it and try to set it right?

Let me share this.

When Maabin entered real politics from his position as Director of Education, I was fishing with him. We had a talk one of these fishing days just before he ran for Vice Chair and I told him that ALL politicians are corrupt! It cannot be helped. He looked at me and asked, "even me?" I said yes, even you will be corrupt. I went on to say that no one can help it, it comes with the territory! Corruption does NOT have to mean taking bribes (I'm NOT saying anyone did, but it can), it DOES however entail considerable lieing in and TO the public. I did not say that these people are necessarily liers PERSONALLY! I am saying that they must lie politically quite often. It doesn't matter who it is or what sex they are. The political structure within most tribes today is white based and look how long the corruption there has been going on... FOREVER! And the peoples not only here, but around the world are embracing these governing politics with open arms, OR they are Forced to accept it. What tribe in ALL of the American continents started with Presidents or parliments or any such governing of the people?

Sure Jay is angry. Not only because of his abandonment issues by not only his mother, but by the people he cares for. (that SHOULD have cared for him) And I am talking specifically of Round Lake!

Because he has not lost his IDEALS and he sees what has become of the ceremonies, the acceptance of manufactured tobacco as okay, the KFC chicken broght to ceremonies, the laptops there, the lack of women at the "green building" making quilts, the lack of real warriors to help with some of the ceremonies. (I know this because I was asked to help being a Veteran and caring for one of the Vets of Round Lake), the women and children being abused and beaten like dogs! The young children who have no respect of elders, ceremoies or anything "Indian." These are NOT the old ways. These are new and being readily accepted. And THAT my friend is tradition today.

Take a good quiet look around at your next ceremony. Say nothing. Just look and listen. You will see my points. And then, maybe you can help.

I know Jay. I know his REAL heart. It's hurting. Not for himself, but for you all.

I have to agree with you hy ty o' ne Ka ha'gon the box chicken and sub-way subs and one guy that even brought a box of doughnuts (not even the good ones you know the kind $1.29 for a box of 12) to the last ceremony we went to and me and my kid where the only two to eat any of the deer meat we brought. Then try to explain why the box of doughnuts the elder brought was not right and that there is more than one road that appears to be the red road but the one that is wide and nicely paved with no hills and always well lit is not the true road and not the one you want to walk. But it was an elder yes I reply one who has lost their way. The best we can do is to try and teach our young from these mistakes but then they too will end up like Jay ridiculed and laughed at for trying to do things the right way.
